Just in time for Baseball Season Eddie Frierson returns to Santa Monica Playhouse with his acclaimed one man show based on the life story of the legendary Christy Mathewson, hall-of-fame pitcher for the New York Giants (1900 to 1916), gentleman, homespun philosopher and the first true American hero who inspired a whole generation of fans to make baseball America’s pastime.

Written and performed by: veteran actor Eddie Frierson, whose credits include numerous stage productions, TV shows and films, pitching collegiate ball for the UCLA Bruins and the job of head coach at Santa Monica High School
